State Gazette covers the business of the public sector in France, Belgium and Luxembourg: thresholds, tenders, contract awards, State aid and competition. It is written for the firms that sell to government, not for political commentary.

Where the information comes from

Articles are built on official publications: BOAMP and the Journal officiel for France, TED for the European Union, the e-Procurement platform for Belgium and the Portail des marchés for Luxembourg. Where an article names a procedure, a threshold or an award, the publicity reference should let a reader reach the original document.

How articles are produced

The desk is assisted by automated systems: research, drafting and a fact-checking pass are carried out by language models working from public sources, under editorial supervision. Amounts, dates and reference numbers are taken from the cited documents and are never estimated.

The four editions

French is the source language and the only one articles are written in. The English, German and Spanish editions are machine translations, marked as such on every article. Where they diverge, the French version governs.

Errors and corrections

A wrong amount, date or reference is a serious error for this title. Corrected articles carry a visible update date beneath the text.

Independence

State Gazette is an independent publication. It is not an official gazette, and it is not published, edited or endorsed by any government department or public body. The publicity references cited point to the original documents.
